Top 1000 Library Books
The OCLC has updated their list of the Top 1000 Books owned by libraries around the world, and George Eberhart has compiled some interesting facts about the list. Here’s a sampling:
- Top 3 authors - William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, John Grisham
- Total number of authors - 576, not counting the anonymous ones
- Total number of Stephen King titles - zero
What I find most interesting is the fact that they bookmarked and tagged everything on del.icio.us, so that you can sort by genre, language or time-period.
