I am back in the office today from a week-long vacation where I managed to stay (mostly) unplugged. Those of you who keep up with my Twitter stream noted that I did Tweet during the trip, but all of it was vacation related and posted simply via the TinyTwitter application on my Blackberry.
As Fred posted earlier, I managed the entire trip without cracking open a laptop once. My Blackberry was sufficient for checking in on critical email items, some web browsing, IM, and a bit of Twitter.
We had no airline hiccups during our trip. My first trip via AirTran was a pleasant surprise – newer (or recently updated) planes, XM Radio, free headsets, and courteous staff.
On the flight home I caught an AP report that indicated on-time arrivals were up a bit from May to June, but down year over year. That’s probably no consolation to this Youtube user who sat on the tarmac at JFK for a mind-numbing 7+ hours (via absurdity.)
